Motor Vehicle Inspector office opened in Sri City

Tirupati: To put an end to the woes of Sri City community, the Transport department opened the camp office of Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) at trade centre in Sri City.

In a formal function held on Wednesday, Deputy Transport Commissioner (DTC) Ch Pratap has inaugurated the MVI office in the presence of Regional Transport Officer (RTO) G Vivekananda Reddy, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Vimala Kumari, Sri City Vice-President C Ramesh Kumar, Security & Vigilance General Manager Altaf and a host of other officials.

Speaking on the occasion, the DTC said that, for the time being, the MVI will camp in Sri City once a week and will issue Learner’s License Registration (LLR) and fitness certificates to vehicles. He said that visit frequency will increase and some more services will be offered. “We will finalise the ‘day’ on which the office will function and the timings, and inform to the public, within a day or two.

Those who want to obtain LLR, may go directly to the office with Aadhaar, mobile and ATM card to pay prescribed fee,” he said. He clarified the doubts of officials in an interactive meeting. Ravindra Sannareddy, founder and Managing Director, who is out of the country, in a message thanked the Transport authorities for opening a camp office, and said, “Sri City cmmunity will find it very convenient as the MVoI office is available at their doorstep, and it will be an added value for our social infrastructure.”
