New outfit to fight for bifurcation sops
Tirupati: A new non-political JAC will be formed in Vijayawada on Thursday to fight for Special Category Status (SCS) and other assurances of the AP Reorganisation Act. A delegation led by Andhra Pradesh Abhivrudhi Porata Samithi (AAPS) President N Raja Reddy has left Tirupati on Wednesday to attend the state-level convention to be held at NGO Office in Vijayawada.
Viswam Schools Correspondent N Viswanath Reddy has flagged off the vehicles for this meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Raja Reddy said that to achieve SCS to Andhra Pradesh another Samaikyandhra movement type of agitation will be the only alternative.
Towards this, non-political JAC will be a welcome development as the political parties’ work with various flags and agendas. After forming statewide non-political JAC, it will be extended to district and mandal levels.
Whoever wants to work with them cutting across party lines can come and join hands, he advised. About 50 associations like APNGOs, APJF, AAPS, Students JAC, AP Nirudyoga Porata Samithi, RTC, UTF, STU, PRTU, APTF, BC Teachers Unions and others will participate in the meeting on Thursday.
Raja Reddy, Suresh, Ramesh Babu, Nagaraj, Murali Krishna, Ranjith Kumar, Nagesh, Vijaya Lakshmi and others were part of the delegation which left for Vijayawada.
