TDP misleading people on Special Status, says GVL

Vijayawada: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson G V L Narasimha Rao alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his Cabinet ministers stopped working in the State on the pretext of fight for the Special Category Status (SCS).

He said they were misleading the people on SCS though they know clearly that it was not possible to get. Addressing media conference at the state party office on Wednesday, he alleged that the Chief Minister and Ministers had set aside the development of the State and were spending time fighting for the SCS doing Deekshas and agitations.

Chandrababu Naidu took a U-turn on Special Category Status, he pointed out.  Narasimha Rao pointed out that the Chief Minister had first asked for the SCS and later gave his nod for the Special Package. Now again he has demanding the Special Category Status.

Earlier, Naidu had declared that the Special Package would be beneficial to Andhra Pradesh and wonder why he had changed the stand, the BJP leader said. He alleged that the TDP was misleading the people and cheating the people on the pretext of fight for justice. Referring to CAG report, he said it clearly said that large-scale corruption was taking place in the State under the TDP rule.
