Cricket-betting gang arrested

Kurnool: Four persons were arrested for organising a cricket-betting at Gandhi Nagar in Yemmiganur on Thursday, and seized Rs 2.2 lakh, two mobiles and a TV set from them. All the accused have been produced before the media here.

CI G Prasad said cops raided a house on a tip off and nabbed the accused red handed. The accused were identified as Saithulla, Dastagiri, Nizamil and Ravi Kumar. They would be produced in the court for further action, the CI stated. He also warned of stringent action if anyone is involved in cricket-betting.
