Former CBI Joint Director Lakshminarayana Stands For Special Status

Former CBI joint director Lakshminarayana, who recently took voluntary retirement from the police services, has begun a tour of Srikakulam district. The former JD, who is widely expected to join politics, met the farmers on Thursday and interacted with them. He later spoke to the media persons. 

He said that he was currently focusing only on the people’s problems and said that he has not yet give a thought to entering politics.

 He said he hoped the Centre would respond positively to the demand for special status to Andhra Pradesh. He said he too would join the agitation if the Centre did not pay heed to his demands.
