Google partners with AP to set up incubation centres

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government is going to enter a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Google India on establishment of incubation centres in the state to promote IT sector in a big way.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu explained that the state government has been using the Google services in governance during a meeting with the Google India vice-president and MD Rajan Anandan at Secretariat on Thursday.

On the occasion, Naidu said the government will utilise the services of YouTube for all the 33 departments in the future. Expressing his desire to make Amaravati better than the Silicon Valley, Naidu informed that Telugus were leading in Silicon Valley too.

To provide emergency services in a speedy manner, the Google developed a new product ‘Plus Cloud,’ Rajan Anandan informed to Naidu and suggested him to utilise this service in the government sector. He requested Naidu to utilise this as a pilot project in AP.

Naidu said the government will utilise the services of Google to ensure accountability in governance. Chief Minister assured Rajan Anandan that for their new innovations and experiments they could utilise AP as a laboratory.
