Rs 5 L ex-gratia given to victim’s kin
Dachepalli : Home minister N Chinarajappa came down heavily on Opposition leader and YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to get mileage out of the minor girl’s rape incident.
Speaking to media at Dachepalli police station after reviewing the minor girl rape incident, Chinarajappa stated that political parties should not use the situation for political gains.
Stating that he handed over the Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia to the victim’s parents in Guntur General Hospital, where the child was under treatment, the minister announced that the accused A Subbaiah committed suicide at Daida in Gurajala mandal and the body would be shifted to autopsy report.
Reacting seriously on Jagan’s comments that TDP leaders were there behind the crime, Chinarajappa stated that he was always making false statements.
