MLC objects to Minister’s claim on MLA ticket
Kadapa: Marketing Minister C Adinarayana Reddy claiming himself as TDP candidate from Jammalamadugu Assembly constituency in 2019 elections has angered TDP MLC P Ramasubba Reddy.
The MLC objected to the remarks made by the Minister during a bike rally in Kamalapuram on April 30. He asked the Minister how he can claim himself as party nominee without assurance from the high command. Adinarayana Reddy went to an extent of saying that he will be winning the Jammalamadugu seat comfortably as he won on previous three occasions.
Ramasubba Reddy has cautioned Minister not to make such statements as it will lead to division in rank and file of the party. The MLC stated that he never made such irresponsible statements being in the TDP from its inception.
Ramasubba Reddy served as Minister in the TDP rule and won as MLA on TDP ticket in the past. The MLC made it clear that the party leaders should abide by the decision of TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu. He asked whether he is not eligible for MLA ticket in 2019 being an MLC.
It may be recalled that Adinarayana Reddy won as MLA from Jammalamadugu segment in 2004, 2009 on Congress ticket and 2014 on YSRCP banner. Even, Ramasubba Reddy had also won as MLA for three times on TDP ticket.
