Minister moots scientific probe to punish accused

Srikakulam: Complete dedication is required for police job to maintain law and order in society, opined Minister for Energy Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao.

He was the chief guest at the Passing out Parade at the district Police Training College near Srikakulam on Friday. In all, 243 constables completed their training successfully and they would join duties soon.

Passing out Parade was conducted under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police T Panasa Reddy. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister suggested to police to tackle 

Cyber crime and white color offences effectively as human values are eroding when compared to olden days. Modern police need to maintain relations with public to solve issues and scientific investigation is required to punish the accused than traditional systems.

Police are doing good job in controlling crime, accidents and traffic. Hence, to avoid pressure while discharging their duties they should practice yoga and meditation, the Minister suggested. 

Srikakulam MLA G Laxmidevi, Collector K Dhanunjaya Reddy, Superintendent of Police Dr CM Trivikrama Varma also explained about police duties and challenges. On the occasion, the Minister presented mementos to constables who achieved top ranks during their training.
