Police service is not job, but responsibility
Vizianagaram: One should feel proud to be a policeman and police service is not a job but responsibility, said Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao.
He participated in passing out parade of constables organised at Police Training College here on Saturday. Addressing a gathering after receiving the guard of the honour here on Saturday, he advised the police personnel to strive to curb crime and punish the accused who indulge in crime.
The police should be always alert and work for the benefit of society. K Rajasikhamani, principal of Police Training College, said that 618 constables completed training and would join duties soon.
He advised the police to work with honesty and commitment towards public and society. Later, mementoes were presented to the constables who proved their mettle during training.
