Capitalist globalisation exploiting labour force

Tirupati: Speakers at the Karl Marx bicentenary birth anniversary celebrations held in Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) on Saturday stressed the ideology of the great leader, economist and philosopher of 19th century. The meeting was held by Department of Economics, Indian Institute of Public Administration, Tirupati branch and SVU Retired Teachers Association at SVU Arts Block auditorium. 

Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of SVU College of Arts Principal Prof G Savaraiah said that Karl Marx has advocated the exploitation of capitalists in his theories in the 19th century itself. 

Even today, the world is divided into three types−capitalist countries, communist countries and developing countries and the economic imbalances between these three types have not reduced in this modern world also. He opined that globalisation has strengthened the exploitation of capitalists. 

CPM district secretary A Pullaiah has said that, if three fourths of work force revolts on one fourth of capitalists then egalitarian society can be established. District CPI secretary A Ramanaidu underlined that when human labour is necessary for production, revolt will be the only weapon to get justice. 

Democratic communism has been evolving in the world to do justice to both farmer and labour. CPI (ML) secretary R Harikrishna has questioned that, out of 543 members of Parliament, 535 are multi-millionaires, how can laws will come in favour of poor people.

 HoD (Economics) Prof K Santha Kumari has explained the vision of Karl Marx saying that even today his weapon of revolution against capitalists is powerful, necessary and inevitable. The pathetic situation of poor should end and protection of poorer sections would get top priority.

 Prof BV Muralidhar and Prof D Subramanyam Reddy also spoke on the occasion while UGC Emeritus Fellow Prof A Ranga Reddy has presided over the meeting. Prof T Lakshmamma, Prof C Mahalakshmamma, Dr A Samanthakamani, Prof MC Reddeppa Reddy, Prof B Krishna Reddy, Dr V Vanajamma, Dr M Kumar Raju, Dr M Venkatesu and others took part.
