‘Chaina’ pact to continue till 2019, says Narayana
Hyderabad: Narayana Educational Institutions refuted all the charges levelled against them by Sri Chaitanya here on Saturday. The management also made it clear that ‘Chaina’ batch will exist until the students of common batch complete their second year Intermediate.
Speaking to media, Directors of Narayana, Dr Sindhura and Sharani and ED Puneet termed the accusations made by Sri Chaitanya as baseless. They clarified that as per the MoU between Narayana and Sri Chaitanya dated December 15, 2014, both the institutions have equal right to claim the results secured by the students of Sarvani Educational Society (Chaina Batch) as their own.
Dr Sindhura stated that Narayana has undisputed right to publicise the results as the ‘Chaina’ batch is run with the academic schedules based on Narayana’s famous CO-Spark programme. She pointed out that even before the formation of ‘Chaina,’ Narayana secured top ranks in national entrances like AIEEE (JEE Main), IIT (JEE Advanced) and AIPMT. She showed paper clippings of a case filed against Sri Chaitanya in Chandigarh by a local institute alleging that Chaitanya used their all India first rank in advanced as their own.
She challenged Chaitanya to announce their IIT top ranks secured before the formation of ‘Chaina’ batch. Sharani said that as per clause 3 of the MoU, both institutions are entitled to announce ranks below 100 in IIT and ranks below 200 in medical as their own. She said that Narayana has always been known for their ethical and transparent practices.
Puneet said that it was not correct to abandon the children in the middle of their studies. A decision to terminate the common batch can only be taken when the current students finish their course in 2019, he said.
