Finance Ministers meet in AP today

Amaravati: The conclave of Finance Ministers and secretaries of 11 non-BJP ruled states will be held at the AP Secretariat on Monday. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will address the inaugural session of the meeting.  The second meeting of the Finance Ministers will discuss 15th finance commission’s terms of reference on which several states are expressing concern that they will get lesser devolutions.   

In a statement on Sunday, AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu questioned the Centre over the terms of reference (ToR) and asked, “Do states have to kneel before the Centre for funds?” Yanamala said the Finance Ministers and Secretaries of states will discuss the concerns on terms of reference and adopt a resolution to be sent to the President of India.
