Tirupati: Muslim JAC Chairman KS Murthuja demanded the Central government to protect the heritage monuments like historic Red Forte, Kutub Minar and others and not to put them in the hands of private companies. In a press release he said that these monuments are the icons of Indian heritage and culture which have to be preserved and protected for ever.
Every year lakhs of visitors visit these places along with Taj Mahal, Golkonda, Salarjung Museum and Charminar in Hyderabad, Hawa Mahal in Jaipur and many others. It was not proper on the part of the Central government to say that they could not bear the organisational expenditure, he said.
