Robbers kill husband, snatch away gold from wife

Vizianagaram : In a shocking incident, a gang of robbers attacked a newly-wed couple and killed the husband before fleeing with gold ornaments from the wife.

The incident occured at Garugubilli police station limits of Parvathipuram division late on Monday night.  Y Sankara Rao, 28, of Ch Pudivalasa village of Veeraghattam mandal of Srikakulam district married D Saraswathi on April 28. 

They came to their relatives’ house at Parvathipuram and were returning home on their two wheeler.  A gang of three stopped their bike at ITDA park and assaulted Sankara Rao with bottles and killed him. 

Some gold ornaments were robbed from his wife. After getting the information, police reached the spot and started searching for the gang.  Circle instructor K.Rambabu visited the spot.
