Wife hired gang to eliminate husband

Vizianagaram: The Vizianagaram police cracked the robbery and murder case that occurred late on Monday night under Garugubilli police station limits in the district.  

After investigation, police found that Saraswathi, wife of the deceased Gowri Sankara Rao, planned to kill him as she married him against her will. She was already in love with P Shiva of Vizag while she was studying there.  

Even after her marriage on April 28 this year, she has been maintaining relation with him. She didn’t want to continue her life with husband Gowri Sankara Rao and asked her friend to kill him. Shiva took the help of a criminal P Gopi of Vizag who killed Gowri Sankara Rao by beating him up with an iron rod.

Superintendent of Police P Palaraju informed that K Saraswathi of Kella village in Veeraghattam mandal in Srikakulam district was married to her close relative Y Gowri Sankara Rao of Chittipudivalasa in the same mandal on April 28. Gowri Sankar was an engineer working with a private firm in Bengaluru. Even after marriage, she has been maintaining her relation with P Shiva.   

On Monday, Saraswathi and her husband came to Parvathipuram on their motorcycle. Meanwhile, she informed about their tour, gave her engagement ring for expenditures and asked Shiva to kill Gowri Sankar.

Later, Shiva came there with P Gopi and K Ramakrishna of Vizag and killed Gowri Sankar at ITDA Park by beating with an iron rod. The culprits fled from there after the incident.  She told police that robbers had beaten them, looted the gold and killed her husband. 

After getting information SP P Palaraju rushed to Parvathipuram from Vizianagaram. He suspected some autorickshaw drivers and after interrogation, the gang members spilled the beans. They said they were engaged by Saraswathi to kill her husband.

The police also found the ornaments, which she claimed were stolen, in her hand bag. The police came to the conclusion that she is the mastermind behind the murder. A case has been registered and SP told the media that they would take steps to complete the investigation soon.
