Anna Canteens to be established in city

Visakhapatnam: Commissioner of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) M Hari Narayanan inspected various locations to establish ‘Anna Canteens’ in the city on Tuesday. The commissioner inspected the places at 75 feet road, fruit market, Gopalapatnam Rythu Bazar, Baji Junction for setting up of Anna Canteens. 

He directed the officials to locate the places for Anna Canteens and ensure those canteens must be close to the people. The Commissioner as a part of his daily inspections also inspected various ongoing projects, including widening of the drains at important locations.

While inspecting the drain widening works at AS Raja College in MVP Colony, the Commissioner directed the engineering officials to complete the works at an earliest in view of the southwest monsoon.

Later, Hari Narayanan visited the graveyard at Sivajipalem and directed the officials to provide infrastructure there. Observing the large extent of the place in the graveyard, the Commissioner directed the officials to take plantation drive on the premises.
