World Red Cross Day observed

Visakhapatnam: District Youth Services and Indian Red Cross jointly observed the World Red Cross Day on Tuesday. Many youth from various areas in the city were present at various programmes organised to mark the occasion.

Beach cleaning programme was organised and a blood donation camp also conducted on the occasion. The youth from Lankavanipalem village donated blood as a part of the programme.

An awareness rally on the blood donation was taken out on the Beach Road. Earlier, treasurer of Indian Red Cross Society Dr Y Hanumantha Rao, secretary of Indian Red Cross Society KVRK Raju and Manager SETVIS Y Srinivasa Rao paid floral tributes to the founder of Red Cross Henry Dunant.
