Five held for burning pipelines

Eluru: Miscreants burnt the pipelines that were placed at Peddagaruvu village in Bhimavarm mandal on Tuesday late night.  The pipelines were placed in the village to lay in Godavari Aqua Mega Food Park in Tundurru.  

On Wednesdy,  police arrested five Dalits on the charges of burning the pipelines.  Over the past few days, China Garuvu and  Pedagaruvu villagers were objecting the laying of the pipelines from their residences and fields.

Police force was deployed in these villages to avoid any untoward incident. Police took five  Dalits into their custody in this regard but they released four and detained one Mohan.
