Tribal freedom fighters museum on the anvil
Vijayawada: Tribal welfare department director Gandham Chandrudu said that the Union Ministry of Tribal Welfare has given its approval to the Andhra Pradesh government’s proposal for establishment of Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum in the state.
Gandham Chandrudu participated in a two-day programme which concluded in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. The programme was held to mark the setting up of Tribal Research Institutes (TRI), which was organised by the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs in Bhubaneswar.
Rs 30 lakhs was sanctioned for Tribal Research Institute activities in the state. Officials from various states participated in the meeting and discussed the problems being faced by tribals and various schemes implemented by the government.
