Bike lifter arrested

Akiveedu: Police arrested motorbikes lifter at Akiveedu on Thursday.  Addressing the media, Akiveedu SI K Sudhakara Reddy said that for the past few months there were reports of motorbikes thefts under Akiveedu Police Station limits.

Based on complaints, police investigated and found Ballanki Kishore of Kaligotla village in Devarapalli mandal of Visakhapatnam district, committed the thefts of bikes. When he caught red-handed while lifting a motor bike at Upputeru rivulet in Akiveedu on Thursday.

The SI said that Kishore had lifted a Pulsar motor bike last month at Kuppanapudi village. Jalla Sasisdhar of Kalla village lodged a complaint with police in this regard. The accused Kishore was involved in various bike thefts, SI added. Various cases are pending against him in Tuni, Palasa, Tadepalligudem, Yalamanchili. Two motorbikes were seized from the accused.
