Book on Castro Era released

Visakhapatnam: Former Vice-Chancellor of Dravidian University Prof KS Chalam released a book ‘The Castro Era’ written by State Executive Member of CPM Ch Narsinga Rao on Thursday.  

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Chalam said that Cuba revolution is the inspiration to several countries and brought several changes in the International Labour Laws. The Cuba revolution is also inspiration for socialism principles, he added.

Cuba is deploying highly qualitative medical staff in several countries and providing free medical aid and education to several nations, he added. Speaking on the occasion, author of the book Ch.Narsinga Rao said that though the Cuba is a small country, given a big message to the world.

In India, the government has been promoting privitisation at a large scale, but in Cuba there is no single private agency in any sector or service, Rao said. Several intellectuals and educationists including Aja Sharma, Prof.Vidya Sagar, VS Padmanabha Raju and N Srinivas also spoke on the occasion.
