Climate change attributed to hurricanes, storms

Anantapur: In the past one week, the district experienced an average temperature of 40 degrees Centigrade every day while for two days in a week, the district experienced a sudden climate change taking a u-turn from hot climate to hurricane winds and tremors striking several places killing animals and some people.

The sudden hurricane winds which hit the district twice damaged several plantations and uprooted several trees incurring heavy losses to the farmers. Scientists in the department of Oceanography and Climate Studies say that the sun fury is causing disasters on earth including hurricanes and geo-magnetic storms in different parts of the world.

According to a NASA report, a strong geo-magnetic storm is racing towards the earth which has the capacity to affect power grids, airplane routes and space-based satellite navigation systems.

The changes in the climate is the result of changes occurring in the sun, they added. The climate in the district on Thursday became cloudy with cool winds blowing and suddenly changing the hot atmosphere.
