Painting competition on plastic waste
Vijayawada: Plastic waste is a threat to all living beings and environment, according to the UNO. To mark the World Environment Day on June 5, Gora Science Centre will organise painting competition and exhibition on environment on June 1 and 2, said Gora Science Centre director G Niyantha here on Thursday.
He said that on June 1 painting competition will be held between 10 am and 1 pm and on June 2 and science exhibition on environment will be organised at Gora Science Centre. "People of all age groups can participate in the competition as environment is related to all human beings," he added. He said that plastic is not related to nature and is produced artificially and it is not biodegradable.
He further stated that day-by-day plastic waste was creating worry to the mankind, according to a survey carried out by UNO. For more details to participate in the competition interested may contact on 9490754655.
