Fight unitedly against Centre

Vijayawada: Actor Sivaji said that the 12 hours night protest conducted with flags of all parties is aimed to make them united and send a strong message to Telugu voters in Karnataka to vote against the BJP in the Assembly elections.  

Addressing media after the conclusion of his night vigil here on Friday morning, Sivaji appealed to parties to launch a united fight against the Centre demanding Special Category Status for the state.

If the parties fight against the Centre unitedly, it would accept the demand of Telugus, he averred. Stating that the Centre was humiliating Telugu people, the actor claimed that he launched night vigil to draw the attention of Telugus in Karnataka over the injustice meted out to the state.

Appealing to Kannadigas to think before casting their vote in the elections, he hoped the people of Karnataka would teach a befitting lesson to the BJP leaders in the elections. 

He came down heavily on the BJP for not fulfilling several promises made during the bifurcation of the state. Sivaji said that he would intensify his agitation for protecting the interests of state people.    

MP Konakalla Narayana, AP NGOs Association president P Ashok Babu, Muslim leaders and Advocates JAC met Sivaji and extended their support.
