Israeli technology for Indian farmers
Vijayawada: Tel Aviv University and Tata Trust joined hands to bring Israel innovation to the farmers in India to resolve the problems of rural people especially farmers.
They would launch the Centre for Agri and Allied Tech (I-CAT) in Andhra Pradesh that will bring Israel knowledge and innovation to the farmers in the state with the help of an Israeli firm.
The initiative support by the state government will include an advanced research and development centre, as well as activities of agriculture experts in the villages and farming.
This would overcome various technological, agronomic and economic barriers and promote sustainable agriculture and food security, according to a communiqué from the Tata Trust.
