Two arrested for theft 

Vijayawada: The Bhavanipuram police arrested two accused Vemula Koteswara Rao (20) and a minor and seized a motor bike from them. They were involved in battery thefts from lorries at Bhavanipuram lorry stand on May 10, according to Sub-Inspector Srinivas Rao.

Srinivas Rao said that as part of the night vigil in the area, they noticed two unidentified persons at Bhavanipuram lorry stand trying to steal batteries from the lorries. He, along with other police constables, caught one accused while the other fled the scene noticing the police. However, he was caught near Swathi theatre later.
