YSRCP instigating BJP to get mileage: Somireddy
Vijayawada: Agriculture minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said the Opposition YSR Congress Party was creating hurdles to hamper the development in the state with its hidden agenda.
Speaking to media here on Saturday, he said the YSRCP was provoking the BJP against TDP to get political mileage. The government lifted 145 tmc ft water from Godavari, he recalled and said that crops worth Rs 35,000 crore were saved in the last two years.
He said the farmers of Ithanagar nearby Tenali town donated Rs 15 lakh for the capital construction works thanking the government for its efforts in irrigation sector. He came down heavily on Jagan for his nexus with the Centre to bailout from corruption cases.
Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was constructing a big city in Gujarat, he asked Jagan as to why he was opposing the big plans of Amaravati capital city.
He alleged YSRCP was making efforts to stall all the developments including capital city by colluding with the BJP. Stating that the Centre was ruling the country in an undemocratic way, Somireddy asked why Jagan did not question the Centre in this regard. He recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave assurance to public over bringing black money from foreign countries but he did not do any effort in this regard.
