BJP downfall has begun: Cong
Kurnool: Former Union Minister Kotla Jaya Suryaprakash Reddy said that the downfall of the dictatorial regime of the BJP at the Centre has begun as Prime Minister Narendra Modi took unilateral decisions like demonetisation and GST affecting all the sections of the society.
He held a review meeting with party cadre here on Saturday. Addressing the party workers, Kotla Jaya Suryaprakash stated that the BJP-led NDA government rule will come to an end once the election results of Karnataka are declared. He exuded the confidence of Congress coming to power in 2019. The Congress leader slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for betraying the people of Andhra Pradesh by denying Special Category Status (SCS).
“When the BJP was in Opposition, the party assured AP people of granting special status for 10 years. After coming to power, the BJP failed to fulfil bifurcation promises,” he alleged. Former Union Minister has said that the Congress will sign the first file related to SCS once it comes to power. Prior to the review meeting, around 300 members of the Muslim community took out a big rally in the city.
Later, they joined in the Congress in the presence of Kotla. Former Zilla Parishad Chairman A Venkataswamy, city Congress president Sardar Bucchi Babu, DCC vice-president Venu Gopal Reddy and other leaders participated in the meeting.
