Amaravati: AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) commissioner Ch Sreedhar denied reports that the CRDA had issued notices organisation, including Central government entities, for which land had been allotted in Amaravati.

The commissioner on Monday said the CRDA allotted lands to several Central government institutions in capital city area. “Though there has been delay in beginning construction works, we have not issued any notices to them seeking return of lands to CRDA.

The delay is only because of procedural reasons and several Central government institutions submitted detailed project reports seeking permissions and release of funds from head offices. Once they get funds, construction works will be taken up,” he said.

He also said the CRDA was ready to cooperate with the institutions for speeding up their construction work in Amaravati and give all permissions as soon as possible. “There is no fact in the news that the CRDA asked the Central government institutions to return the lands due to delay in construction works in Amaravati,” he said.

However, minister for municipal administration P Narayana on May 10 told the reporters at the Secretariat that the government had allotted 1,1312 acre to 65 organisations in the past but only seven started construction works. He said the government issued notices to those institutions for not beginning any operations so far.
