Chief Secretary proposes ratings to civic wards

Amaravati: Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar said municipal wards would be given ratings in line with Gram Panchayat wards based on their performance of functioning.

The Chief Secretary wanted the officials of municipal administration to focus on public health, education and some other important issues in towns and cities and complete waste management projects in municipalities and municipal corporations by the end of June.

Marks would be given to maintenance of drinking water schemes, water management projects, education, health, roads and streetlights in municipalities.  

Dinesh Kumar reviewed the progress of several schemes and projects in Urban Local Bodies at Secretariat on Monday. He suggested the officials that special focus has to be laid to prevent drinking water problems in ULBs during summer season.
