Forest staff dig trenches to help animals

Beluguppa(Anantapur): District Collector Veera Pandian visited the Ramanepalle village to see the trenches dug by the Vana Samrakshana Samithi. DFO Chandrasekhar who accompanied the Collector, gave details about the purpose of water trenches.

He said that the trenches were dug basically for water conservation. Chandrasekhar said that the trenches serve the purpose of quenching the thirst of animals. In summer months wild animals have a hard time to find water. These trenches help the animals to quench their thirst, he added
