Jagan unveils pylon to mark completion of 2,000 km

Eluru: YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy unveiled a 40-foot pylon at Madepalli Road in Venkatapuram village in West Godavari district to mark the completion 2,000 km in his Praja Sankalpa Yatra.

On the 161st day of his yatra on Monday, he began his march from Maheswarapuram village in Eluru rural mandal in the morning. Followed by a large number of supporters, he passed through Sriparru, Gurakalapeta, Lingaraogudem, Madepalli and reached Venkatapuram. Apart from unveiling a pylon to mark the occasion, he also planted a coconut sapling on the spot. 

The YSRCP Teachers Federation leaders met the opposition leader and walked with him for a while. When a group of aged women narrated their woes to him, he assured them that he would look into their problems and lambasted the state government for ‘miserably’ failing to address the needs of senior citizens.

Municipal, Medical employees Union leaders also met him and submitted a memorandum to him. A group of Muslim leaders too met him and expressed their support to his yatra.
