Old couple, car driver die in mishap

Kurnool: A retired professor of Kurnool Medical College, Sashibhusanam (75) his wife Sukala (72) and their car driver Venkatacharyulu (36) died at a road accident. The ghastly accident has taken place near Chinnatekur village under Ulindakonda police station limits on Sunday evening.

According to the details extended by the Circle Inspector, Pavan Kishore of Taluka Police Station (Urban), the deceased Sashibhusanam accompanied by his wife was said to have gone Anantapur to attend a marriage in their car.

After attending the marriage they were on their return journey to Kurnool. When their car reached Chinnatekur village another car heading towards Mysore from Hyderabad hit from the opposite direction after crossing the road divider. In the incident, Sashibhusanam his wife and the car driver died on the spot. ``At the time of mishap, only three persons including the driver were present.

We went to the spot and shifted the bodies to Kurnool General Hospital for further action. The persons who are responsible for the accident were taken into custody besides detaining the car,’’ police said. Case has been filed and investigation is under way stated the Circle Inspector, Pavan Kishore.
