Karnataka polls not held in a fair manner: Somireddy
Nellore: Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy alleged on Tuesday that elections were not conducted in a fair manner in Karnataka. He said the BJP’s victory in Karnataka was not perfect. He claimed that the Telugu people rejected the party by casting low percentage of cotes.
He alleged that the BJP had spent thousands of crores of rupees for 222 seats in Karnataka elections. He said the Centre for Media Studies had revealed that the BJP had incurred a sum of Rs 10,500 crore for the elections across the State. He pointed out that the BJP had utilised the services of RSS workers during the election campaign.
The Minister further alleged that the BJP was trying to use power for its existence in different States. He said not only in Karnataka, the BJP had also spent crores of rupees in Tripura elections.
Stating that the people were observing the style of functioning of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah, he said that their tricks would not yield them any favourable results in 2019 general elections.
