Steps on to reduce dropout rate

Kakinada: The education department launched measures to bring down dropouts in East Godavari district. Reviewing the school dropouts in the district with the education department at the Collectorate here on Tuesday, Collector Kartikeya Mishra said that the authorities should try to improve the enrollment in schools in the academic year 2018-19 The Collector also directed the authorities to initiate measures for 100 per cent pass percentage in SSC and for better pass percentage in Intermediate in   the next academic year The Collector said that in SSC this year, the district achieved 97.97 per cent.

The Collector directed the officials of education department to get ready with text books and school uniforms prior to reopening of schools.  Joint Collector A Mallikarjuna, DEO Abraham and other officials participated.
