Central Committee to arrive on May 17

Visakhapatnam: The Central Committee, which would finalise the national awards for the best implementation of MNREGS works, will arrive in the city on May 17. The committee will inspect MNREGS works, created the assets and other infrastructure in the district.

The Central government already selected some districts to accord national awards and Visakhapatnam district is one among those districts. The district administration is making arrangements for the committee’s visit and also preparing the document evidences against the works at village, mandal and revenue division levels.

Collector Pravin Kumar directed the District Water Management Authority to prepare a route map for the Central Committee visit. The Collector also directed the officials to select villages where the NREGS works were completed as per the guidelines for the visit.
