Deputy tahasildar suspended for harassing women

Nellimarla (Vizianagaram):  A deputy tahasildar was put under suspension for harassing women at Nellimarla in the district. According to reports, Deputy tahasildar Sheik Ibrahimof Nellimarla tahasil office was reportedly harassing women and girls who approach him for various works.

Recently, a woman faced embarrassing situation with him and she complained to the Collector. Later, the Collector formed a three-member committee comprising district in-charge revenue officer S Srilatha, P Anjani Kumari and P Padmavathi.

The three members conducted an inquiry and confirmed his misbehaviour and reported the same to the Collector. Based on that report, the Collector placed him under suspension.
