Gutka packets worth 23 lakh seized

Kurnool: The cops seized banned gutka packets worth Rs 23 lakh in Orvakal on Wednesday. Circle Inspector Pavan Kishore said that police personnel came across a van carrying 23 bags containing gutka packets while conducting vehicle checks.

Driver Basha was transporting gutka packets to Tirupati from Gulbarga. The cops seized the banned substance and the vehicle. A case was registered. According to sources, sale of gutka packets is high in temple city.
