Pole climber of Prakasam district receives national award, 3L cash
Amaravati: A pole climber of Prakasam district has received award from National Innovation Society in the presence of President Ram Nath Kovind and Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Harsha Vardhan for his efforts in assembling a small portable device that makes climbing electric poles and trees simple and easy.
Tirupathi Rao, a resident of Vaddera colony of Chirala mandal in Prakasam district, received a memento and Rs 3 lakh cash award from National Innovation Society at a programme in New Delhi on May 11.
Principal secretary for IT department K Vijayanand and CEO of AP Innovation Society Valli Kumari congratulated Tirupathi Rao. Vijayanand said the AP Innovation Society encouraged Tirupathi Rao and select his name to send National Innovation Society.
“The state government is contemplating to establish incubation centres across the state to train the youth as entrepreneurs under the guidance of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and IT minister N Lokesh,” he said.
