TDP alone can develop AP: Somisetty

Kurnool: TDP district president Somisetty Venkateswarlu said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is striving hard to develop the Kurnool district on all fronts. The TD government has introduced several welfare schemes to extend financial assistance for the weaker sections of the society, he stated.

He claimed no other state government in the country had introduced so many welfare schemes for the people than the TD government. Somisetty has participated in the Mini Mahanadu organised in Alur on Wednesday, under the leadership of Veerabhadra Goud. Addressing the party workers, Somisetty said that the Chief Minister is striving hard to develop the State despite revenue deficit of Rs 16,000 crore.

The TDP leader said Chandrababu alone can build a world class capital city in Amaravati. On development front in Kurnool district, he stated several industries will come up in Orvakal mandal very soon. On May 10, the Chief Minister laid a foundation stone for the construction of steel plant by Jai Raj Ispat Limited near Guttapadu in Orvakal mandal.

The steel plant is coming up in an extent of 415 acres. Alur Assembly constituency in-charge Veerabhadra Goud said the TD government has taken up digging of farm ponds for recharging groundwater table. The farmers in Alur segment are happy as they are raising crops with the water stored in farm ponds.

The government had sanctioned houses for poor and weaker sections and laid roads in every village besides supplying of drinking water. Development is possible only with the Telugu Desam government. He asked the party activists to the popularise welfare schemes amongst people so that the TDP will come power in 2019.
