10K malnourished kids in Chittoor: Collector

Tirupati: District Collector PS Pradyumna said that immediate aim of the district administration is to prevent the malnutrition in children of the district. On Saturday, Pradyumna has laid foundation stone for alumni building on the premises of the SV Medical College here.  

Addressing the medical fraternity, the Collector informed that district administration is chalking out to eradicate the malnutrition problem in the district by this time of next year. He stated that around 10,000 children suffering from malnutrition in the district, are facing serious health hazards. “We will supply the nutrition diet to the malnourished children,” he added. He gave a call to the doctors to plan a project work to the MBBS studying medicos to strengthen the future generation. 

Soon, the government will provide all the facilities in medical and allied departments in the district for the people’s health benefits. Later, Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) Chairman Narasimha Yadav said that doctors can provide medical treatment to patients by using technology. He added that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu using the technology for improve the civic amenities and other advanced facilities. 

MLC Y Srinivasulu Reddy suggested the officials to improve the quality of nutrition food supplements in Anganwadi centres across the district. Tirupati MLA Suguna, alumni association president Dr Ramesh Nath, Secretary Dr Kirity and Ruia Hospital Superintendent Dr Sidda Naik were present.
