Manturu, other villages to get roads

Amaravati: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to construct new roads between Manturu-Kondamodalu in West Godavari District, after the boat tragedy incident which happened recently.

The Chief Minister, at his residence at Undavalli on Friday, held a teleconference on the boat capsize issue. Officials explained to Chief Minister that the local people  have been facing problems due to non-availability of proper roads in the area to a distance of   30 kms.

Chandrababu Naidu instructed the officials to construct new road network along the banks of River Godavari.  He said officials to develop road network from Tribal areas to Rampachodavaram where the Tribals have been facing problems in the absence of  roads for 20 kms.

The officials have to focus on laying road also from Kokkalagudem village to Geddada village.  During the teleconference, he asked the officials to allocate Rs 1 crore for the development of road network in the tribal areas in the district.

All these works should be completed on priority basis. He  suggested officials to ensure payment of announced compensation to the boat tragedy victims. Government will provide housing to all these victim families, he said.
