Pawan slams both BJP, TDP for not fulfilling poll promises

Visakhapatnam: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan announced that over one lakh party activists would take out protest march at all the district headquarters in the state, demanding the governments to fulfil their 2014 election assurances made to the people. During the electioneering, both BJP and TDP had given tall promises to the people and after coming to power both the governments cheated the people, he said.

He said this is the reason for him to leave the film industry and enter politics. When some people in crowd shouted slogans that they want to see him as chief minister, Pawan warned them not to make such slogans. He said that when people give their support in polls, he would become chief minister. 

The actor-turned-politician said he had entered politics after seeing TDP-BJP failing to deliver on their promises. Addressing at a programme at Gangavaram, he said that he wanted to understand the problems of the people first. At the moment, he can highlight the problems of the people and bring them to the notice of the government only as he has no power. 

He assured to do justice to people if he comes to power. With a difference to his earlier visits, Pawan Kalyan stayed at an ordinary function hall Ambedkar Bhavan instead of star hotels in the city. On the second day (Friday) brainstorming sessions, he met party activists and also the people who played a vital role in the Praja Rajyam Party. During his earlier meetings, Pawan also made comments against the opposition party and its chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy. However, during his present two days’ visit, he flayed BJP and TDP only.

Pawan Kalyan is leaving Visakhapatnam to Srikakulam to launch  45-days Porata Yatra demanding the Centre to accord all the listed sops in the AP Reorganisation Bill-2014. Stressing the backwardness of the region, Pawan Kalyan started a new slogan that north Andhra is a backward region, but not the leaders.
