Quality Council of India team tours inspects Vizag Railway Station

Visakhapatnam: A two-member Central team of Quality Council of India (QCI) from New Delhi conducted a Swachh Rail Survekshan, a study on cleanliness, sanitary conditions and cleanliness at Visakhapatnam Railway Station on Friday.The team inspected facilities at Visakhapatnam Railway Station and gathered details from the passengers.

The Central team inspected conditions of the platform aprons, drainage, foot-over- bridges, circulating areas, parking, toilets, waiting halls, stalls and offices.They interacted with the passengers and enquired about the opinion on the maintenance of cleanliness in 18 categories.

They collected feedback from 600 rail users and over 1,000 photos were geo-tagged to the headquarters of QCI. This is the third-party survey that is being conducted on railways. It may be recalled that last year Visakhapatnam Railway Station was adjudged as the cleanest railway station.
