Six die in mishaps

Visakhapatnam: Two persons were killed in accidents on the National Highway under Visakhapatnam limits on Friday. According to police, the deceased was identified as B Lalith Sai Krishna (22), who was working as a lab technician at GITAM College and residing at Tagarapuvalsa. 

According to reports, he left home on a bike, when he reached near Paradesipalem, he was knocked by a lorry when he tried to overtake a bus. On receiving information, PM Palem police rushed to the spot and took the lorry driver into their custody and sent the body to KGH for post-mortem.

In another accident, a fish-laden lorry from Eluru, which was proceeding towards Kolkata, hit a pedestrian when he was crossing the road near Surya Nursing Home on the highway at Tagarapuvalasa. 

Police identified the deceased as R Chinnayya (40), who was working as a helper at local chicken shop and residing at Tagarapuvalasa area. Based on a complaint lodged by the kin of the deceased, police registered a case. Body was sent to KGH for post-mortem. 

Srikakulam: Two persons were killed in a road accident in Sompeta mandal on the National highway (NH-16) on Friday as an unknown vehicle hit their bike from behind. According to details, the deceased were identified as Vasupalli BheemaRao, 32, of Isukalapalem village in Sompeta mandal and Karri Rama Rao, 22, of Chinnakarrivanipalem in Kaviti mandal.

Accident took place when they were reaching to their destinations from Visakhapatnam on their bike. On receiving information, the highway patrolling and local police reached the spot and recovered bodies. Sompeta police registered a case and investigating to establish identity of the vehicle.

Vizianagaram: Two persons, including a six-year-old boy, were killed in two different accidents that occurred in Vizianagaram district on Friday. Inspector of Bhogapuram Raghuveer Vishnu said that  D Teja (Six) of Munjeru village in Bhogapuram mandal was killed when a lorry hit the motor cycle on which he was travelling with his father Ramu and mother Kumari.

A speedy lorry hit their two-wheeler from rear side and dragged the boy on to the road. He was injured seriously and killed on the spot.  In another accident occurred at Maradam village in Satti Rajeru mandal a man was killed when a private bus coming from Odisha hit an auto-rickshaw. Sheik Abdullah who was travelling in the auto was killed on the spot.
