Supreme Court floor test ruling hailed

Nellore: Agriculture minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that the entire country has welcomed the Supreme Court direction of conducting floor test in Karnataka Assembly at 4 pm on Saturday.

Speaking to media, the minister alleged that the BJP leaders have been trying to lure legislators of the Congress and JD (S) in Karnataka. “The Supreme Court verdict has once again proved that democracy is still alive in the country.

Entire population in the country has been watching the situation in Karnataka. The Congress and JD (S) MLAs have to teach a fitting lesson to the BJP during the confidence motion,” he said.

Somireddy said that people were unable to understand whether the country is being ruled by the Prime Minister or by 14th Finance Commission as the Centre denied the SCS to the state.

He said the Prime Minister has been supporting YSRC chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy and V Vijayasai Reddy, who are accused No 1 and accused No 2 in many financial scandals. 

Somireddy also questioned that who gave powers to BJP chief Amit Shah to intervene in the state government affairs of Karnataka. Stating that 38 per cent of voters in Karnataka had cast their votes to the Congress and 36.6 per cent to the BJP, he said even the political analysts were also wondered how the BJP had got majority seats.

He said that people in the country and in the state would teach a befitting lesson to the BJP and YSRCP in the next general elections. Earlier, the minister participated in mini-Mahanadu in Kovur, Nellore city and in Gudur towns.

Addressing the party workers, Somireddy said that they would complete pending works of Nellore and Sangam barrage soon and added they had brought 1.10 lakh acres under cultivation after obtaining forest clearances.
