Amaravati: In a latest development, Chief Minister and TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu is going to attend  the swearing-in ceremonyprogramme of HD Kumaraswamy, Karnataka’s Chief Minister-designate of Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) combine, on Wednesday in Bengaluru.

Kumaraswamy, leader of JD(S) and son of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda formally invited Chandrababu Naidu to attend the swearing-in ceremony, for which the latter also responded positively.

The TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu, through a teleconference on Sunday evening, discussed with cabinet ministers and senior party leaders about his proposal to attend Kumaraswamy’s swearing-in ceremony. All the ministers responded positively on his move.

Ministers further observed in the conference that since the party had good relations with Deve Gowda and his party JD(S) for a long time, the presence of Chandrababu Naidu in the Kumaraswamy’s oath taking ceremony will send a strong signal to the entire country on TDP’s stand.

In the past, Deve Gowda also attended for a protest public meeting, RythuKosamorganised by TDP in  Guntur, said a senior Minister. After taking opinion from the Ministers, Chandrababu Naidu confirmed that he would make a visitto  Karnataka.

On the other hand, this could be seen as a dynamic development in the regional politics with respect to Andhra Pradesh and TDP. Since, Chandrababu Naidu and TDP leaders have been making blatant criticism on Congress at every opportunity in the state for the last four and half years for “Unscientific bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and problems created from then onwards”, the decision of participating in oath taking ceremony became an interesting political development.

Though the TDP leaders are claiming that they are supporting HD Kumaraswamy, his father Deve Gowda and their party JD(S), it is an indication that the TDPalso indirectly supporting Congress in Karnataka.

The JDS leader also invited Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, BSP Chief Mayawati and others for his swearing-in ceremony.
