Gutka worth 1.5 lakh seized; eight arrested

Kadapa: Kamalapuram police raided a house at Pedda Chippali village of Kamalapuram mandal and seized 10 gutka bags worth Rs 1.50 lakh and arrested 8 persons on Sunday.

Speaking to media, Yerraguntla in-charge CI Satyanarayana said the accused were supplying banned item to local shops and nearby villages. Acting on tip-off, the police conducted raids and arrested the accused.

Police arrested 8 persons on the charges of selling Gutka and seized Rs 1.50lakh 20 Gutka bags at Pedda Chippala village of Kamalapuram mandal on Sunday.
