In connection with the launching of ‘ Aadapillalaku  RakshanagaKaduludam’  programme held here, a  rally was organised from MahatamaJyotiraophule  statue  to Ambedkar  Bhavan on Monday  in which  the Minister NAmaranatha Reddy,  District Collector PSPradyumna , ZP  Chairperson  Girvani Chandra Prakash and others  took part.

Participating at a meeting  held  at  Ambedkar  Bhavan,   Amaranatha Reddy felt  that  poverty and illiteracy were  the  major  factors  for the occurrence of crimes involving  violence  against  woman  in the past.  Even in the present civilised society , there is no change in the women related offences, he regretted .

`` Now different  apps  have come in to force  to protect  the interest  of  women by all means in all emergency and critical  situations.  The Government   is  contemplating  to introduce innovative means  in  a rational  manner   for protecting women  from anti-social elements by using technology   in  a big way,”  he added.

The minister recalled that  Central Government had introduced  Nirbhaya Act  in 2012 after a violent incident  that   took place in New Delhi. In Arabic  countries , punishment  on women atrocities  would  be very serious. He suggests such  kind of punishments  in the country also. He made it clear that remittance of compensation for the victims  wouldnot be a  solution to prevent the crimes.

ZP Chairperson Girvani  Chandra Prakash  decried  that there was no protection  for the women in the present  society .  Chittoor MLA  DASatya Prabha, Chittoor Mayor KHemalatha, District  Collector Pradyumna,  Chittoor SP  Rajasekhar Babu  and others  spoke.
